5-Dallas Mavericks; 29-20, 7th in the West

They may be seventh in the West, but the Mavs are surging having won their last four, including victories over formidable opponents like the Orlando Magic, to name one. Dallas appears to be putting it together under underrated head coach Rick Carlisle, and Josh Howard and Brandon Bass are back in the swing of things offensively.

Anyone happen to catch that Laker-Mavs game last night?

Anyone else notice another game the Lakers were trailing in and somehow come out with a win?

Yeah, I know they were at home and Dallas is a team that no one really knows what to expect from, but they were on a five game winning streak coming in.

wo desperate acts of self-destruction in Shaquille O'Neal to the Phoenix Suns and Jason Kidd to the Dallas Mavericks. Those moves pushed the usually level-headed Spurs into making a level-headed move in picking up Kurt Thomas... yet the games had just begun.
