With the addition of Johan Santana, the Mets have certainly leaped to frontrunner status.  While some questions still remain about the bullpen and their corner OF positions because of the oft injured Moises Alou and newcomer Ryan Church and how he will handle his first season in NY.  The Phillies have made some nice additions with Brad Lidge, Pedro Feliz, and Geoff Jenkins.  The Braves have added Tom Glavine most notably, and hope to get a full year out of pitcher Mike Hampton.  The division seems to be much better all around aside from the two bottom feeders, but the addition of Santana certainly on paper, puts the Mets over the top.

"The team to beat is the team that won last year.  Philly took care of us last year.  They took care of business in the division.  Going into this year, we have to take control of the NL East."
